You don’t have to pretend you’re okay to have real faith.
So many men and women are quietly carrying grief, disappointment, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion… while still showing up every day with a smile. Holding it together. Staying strong. Pushing through.
But inside? It feels heavy.
And somewhere along the way, many of us learned—directly or indirectly—that being a “good Christian” means staying positive, keeping it together, and not letting anyone see us struggle.
But that’s not what Scripture teaches.
In this episode, we take a deep dive into Lamentations 3—a chapter written in the middle of devastation, sorrow, and emotional exhaustion—and yet right in the center of it, we find one of the most powerful declarations of hope in all of Scripture:
“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope…”
Together, we explore what it looks like to:
process grief honestly without suppressing it
understand the difference between lament and emotional spiraling
interrupt the thoughts that keep you stuck in despair
renew your mind in the middle of suffering
and anchor your heart in God’s unchanging character when life feels overwhelming
We’ll also connect this to emotional health and the patterns we often fall into—like the Unhappy Kid Triangle—and how unresolved pain can quietly shape the way we think, feel, and relate.
This is not about pretending everything is okay. This is about learning how to walk through pain without losing your hope, your peace, or your faith.
Because you don’t have to choose between being honest about your grief… and trusting God.
You can do both.
🎙️ Listen in, and be reminded:
God is not asking you to hide your grief. He is inviting you to bring it to Him.
And even here…His mercies are still new every morning.

Friend…
What if the greatest danger to your spiritual life isn’t obvious rebellion…but a heart that slowly stops feeling?
In this episode, we take a deep and honest look at Ezekiel 9—a powerful and sobering passage that reveals how spiritual numbness forms over time, often quietly and unnoticed.
We’re not talking about perfection here.
We’re talking about something much deeper:
👉 The condition of your heart👉 Your sensitivity to conviction👉 And whether you’re still responding when God speaks
Because in Ezekiel 9, God makes a distinction—not between perfect people and sinful people… but between those who have grown numb… and those who are still tender.
In this episode, we explore:
How spiritual numbness slowly takes root in your heart and home
Why conviction is actually a gift from the Holy Spirit
The meaning behind those who “sigh and groan” over sin
How this connects to emotional health and the Unhappy Kid Triangle
What it looks like to stay soft, aware, and aligned with God
This isn’t about fear or shame.
It’s an invitation.
To wake up.To realign. To come back to a heart that still feels, responds, and stays close to Him.
✨ You don’t have to be perfect… but you do have to stay tender.
xoxo,
Danielle

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, numb, or exhausted… this episode is for you.
In Episode 114, I’m talking about something many Christians were never taught how to do: lament.
We’ll walk through:
What biblical grief actually looks like
How we unintentionally minimize pain
Why unprocessed grief shows up as anxiety, control, and emotional reactivity
How the Unhappy Kid Triangle keeps you stuck
And how to move toward healing using the Happy Kid Triangle
I also walk through powerful verses from Lamentations 1 and show you how God makes space for your grief—not just your strength.

There are seasons in life when grief feels overwhelming…when the pain lingers longer than you expected…and when you quietly wonder, “Why am I still here?”
If you’ve ever felt stuck in your healing, discouraged by your progress, or weighed down by what you’ve lost—this episode is for you.
In today’s episode, we take a deep, compassionate dive into Book of Jeremiah 31:15–40—a powerful passage that holds both raw grief and radical hope.
You’ll hear the haunting image of Rachel weeping…but you’ll also discover the heart of a God who does not rush your pain, shame your weakness, or abandon you in your suffering.
Instead, He meets you there.
Together, we explore:
What it means to grieve with God instead of rushing past it
Why your healing may feel slow—and why that doesn’t mean you’re failing
How to recognize and replace the lies that often attach themselves to grief
The truth about God’s heart toward you in your most broken moments
The promise of the New Covenant—and what it means for true, lasting heart transformation
This episode is a gentle but powerful reminder:
You are not behind. You are not too much. And God is not finished with your story.
He is restoring. He is renewing. He is writing truth on your heart—even now.

Friend,
Have you ever reacted in your marriage and thought… “Where did that come from?”
In this episode, we’re going deeper than communication tools or surface-level conflict. We’re uncovering the core beliefs formed in childhood that still shape how you think, feel, and respond in your marriage today.
We’ll walk through how these patterns develop, how they show up in real life, and—most importantly—how to begin renewing your mind with truth through Scripture and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever heard “I’m sorry”… but something still didn’t feel right?
In this powerful and deeply practical episode, I unpack why apologies alone don’t heal relationships—and what real, biblical repentance actually looks like.
You’ll learn the difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow, how the Unhappy Kid Triangle shows up in conflict, and why true transformation requires more than words—it requires a renewed mind and a changed direction.
This episode is for anyone navigating hurt, broken trust, repeated patterns, or the desire to grow in emotional and spiritual maturity.

What if the reason you keep reacting the same way…isn’t because you lack self-control…
…but because you’re believing something that isn’t true?
Friend, this is a message that has been sitting heavy on my heart—because I see it every day in the counseling room, and if I’m honest, I’ve seen it in my own life too.
In The Bible, Isaiah 44 gives us a sobering picture of deception—a man holding something in his hand that he believes will save him… and yet Scripture says:
“He could not say, ‘Is there not a lie in my right hand?’”
That line has stayed with me.
Because so often, we’re not just reacting…we’re reacting from what we believe is true.
In this episode, I’m walking you through:
How hidden core beliefs shape your emotions, triggers, and relationship patterns
Why the same reactions keep showing up (even when you want to change)
How this connects to the Unhappy Kid Triangle (UHKT) and the roles we fall into
What it actually looks like to begin renewing your mind with God’s truth (Romans 12:2)
We’re not just talking about behavior change here.
We’re going deeper—into the beliefs underneath it all.
Because when deception feels normal…it takes truth to set you free.

I also wrote a companion blog post that focuses specifically on identifying the lies beneath your reactions and how to begin replacing them with truth:

There is a kind of comfort that feels good in the moment…but quietly keeps you stuck.
And if we’re not careful, we can start to prefer feeling betterover actually being transformed.
In this episode, I’m inviting you into a deeper, more honest conversation about why we resist truth—and how choosing comfort over truth can keep us trapped in painful patterns in our relationships, our thinking, and our emotional responses.
We’re walking through Isaiah 30 and uncovering what it means when God’s people said, “Tell us pleasant things…”—and how that same tendency can show up in our lives today.
I’m also sharing a powerful and much-needed teaching on admonishing and rebuking—what they actually mean biblically, how they fit within love and grace, and why avoiding them can keep us (and the people we love) stuck in cycles that never truly change.
If you’ve ever:
Avoided hard conversations to keep the peace
Struggled to receive correction without becoming defensive
Found yourself repeating the same relational patterns
Or felt torn between being “kind” and being truthful
This episode is for you.
Because God is not asking you to live in illusion…He’s inviting you into truth that heals.

Motherhood can feel overwhelming—especially when fear, anxiety, and the need to control begin to take over.
In this episode, I’m sharing a very personal part of my story from my early days as a single mom—walking through the pain of divorce, the uncertainty of my children’s future, and the quiet fear that can creep in when life feels out of your control. I remember what it felt like to carry so much… and not know how everything would turn out.
And as I sat with the Lord recently, He brought me to Psalm 105—not to give me a strategy, but to remind me of something I had forgotten:
👉 The power of remembering His faithfulness.
Because when we forget who God is, we start carrying things that were never ours to hold.
But when we remember…
Everything begins to shift.
In this episode, I’m gently walking you through:
how fear can quietly drive our parenting
why we move into control, striving, or overwhelm
how to surrender what isn’t yours to carry
and how to trust that God is still writing your child’s story—even when you can’t see it
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed as a mom… if you’ve been trying to hold everything together… I want you to know—you’re not alone in this.
🌿 Companion Blog (Read + Listen in One Place)

So what happens when you finally see it?
You recognize the patterns. You notice the reactions. You realize:
👉 “I don’t want to keep showing up like this…”
But then life happens again…
And you find yourself right back in it.
Reacting.Controlling.Shutting down.
If that feels familiar… you’re not alone.
And you’re not stuck.
This is Part 2 of our two-part series:
Do I Look Like the World? A Heart Check for Real Faith
In Part 1, we slowed down and took an honest look at what our lives are actually revealing—especially in the moments that are hardest to control.
But awareness is just the beginning.
In this episode, we’re going deeper into:
why we keep falling back into the same patterns
what’s really driving our reactions under pressure
and what it actually looks like to walk with the Holy Spirit in real time
Because transformation doesn’t come from trying harder.
It comes from learning how to stay connected.
To abide.
To surrender.
To walk with Him in the very moments you used to react.
And this is where everything begins to shift.
Want to go deeper?
